Carol Allison
AFC, CHC, and GCDF certified, Carol became a member of AFCPE in 1994, and has since served as Board Member, worked on various committees, and working groups. She learned about finances as a young, military wife working all sorts of jobs to try to fill in the budget gaps. Since 1989 she has worked at the Navy's Fleet and Family Support Center, in Dahlgren VA, teaching personal finance and consumer awareness to military members and their families and military retirees, while at the same time assisting clients one-on-one. She established the first Military VITA site at that location and has since grown the program to increase the outreach area to include Naval Support Facility Indian Head MD and Camp A.P. Hill, VA as well as performing multiple other "collateral duties". She was recognized as AFCPE's Financial Counselor of the Year, 2002, Having earned multiple awards and recognition with the DoN, the two she values most highly were those earned as a first responder at the Family Assistance Center after Sept 11th for the Pentagon and in MS after Hurricane Katrina.
