Imagine a work environment where you can share with your colleagues, learn from each other’s experiences, and use that shared knowledge to be a more effective financial professional. A place where your knowledge is valued, a place where employees build each other up, and a place where learning is valued: that is the environment I strive to create.

As the network manager at Zeiders Enterprises, Inc., I have the pleasure of working with a diverse group of financial professionals from wide and varied backgrounds.

It is my job to help make sure that our financial professionals who work with our clients understand their client, and provide them the services desired by our customer.

This large network of financial professionals participate in providing outstanding, expert service using multiple techniques. Our team may work occasional weekends, part of a year in a full time capacity, or work in a full-time role. They may give briefings, short or long presentations, or a 5 minute elevator pitch. Others set up and staff a resource table at events to attract clients and share valuable information and resources. Yet others work with clients in a one on one engagements to discuss many aspects of personal finance specific to their personal situation. With the right financial information, lives can be changed in a matter of minutes.

Among the long list of credentials and designations our professionals hold are the AFC®, ChFC®, and CFP®. For many this is their second or third career; they come from other disciplines such as education, accounting, social sciences, military, and law. Their prior careers enable them to bring their vast life experiences to bear in helping client’s see the big picture of their financial situation. Each may specialize in an area of interest or past work experience, but they all bring their experience to the table and share with each other. I begin each of my presentations with our team talking about our diverse group of financial professionals and how they can each share knowledge, and learn from each other.

I enjoy working with our financial professionals to develop presentations that will help them be more successful in their work, whether it be with us, or in their career outside of their Zeiders role. We integrate their diverse backgrounds and experiences to make the entire group stronger and wiser by providing continuing education where our network engages in discussion and learning.

If you would like to learn more about working on a team that values you as a financial professional and the knowledge you bring to the table, come see us at the 2018 AFCPE Symposium in Norfolk, VA. What really engages you during a presentation? What qualities of a speaker bring the subject to life? How do share your knowledge with other professionals? Comment and share, I want to hear from you!
