Jerry Buchko, Past President
Private Practice
Jerry Buchko is a Counselor, Coach, and Tutor of Personal Finance in private practice. He specializes in consultation, education, and collaboration using Internet-based telepresence technologies, as well as in exploring how these technologies can be used as tools to develop, nurture, and grow individuals and communities.
Prior to entering private practice, Jerry worked as a financial counselor and trainer in the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) field and provided counseling and education to a diverse population of private and public sector clients, including military servicemembers and their families. Jerry has a B.A. in Psychology, an M.A. in Counseling Psychology. He has been an Accredited Financial Counselor® (AFC®) since 2003, and a member of AFCPE since 2000. Over the years, Jerry has served on a number of AFCPE task forces, including the Member Services Task Force, the Electronic Communications Task Force, the Newsletter Task Force, the Financial Task Force, and the Nominations Task Force. He is also an active member of several eXtension Communities of Practice, including the Military Families Learning Network, Network Literacy, the Educational Technology Learning Network, and Financial Security for All.
