Introduction to Social Justice Lenses for Family Well-Being
- This event has passed.
June 1, 2022
This first course of the series explores a social justice lens through which family service providers can view prohibitive barriers that negatively impact family well-being. A family’s health and well-being are directly linked to equitable rights, opportunities, and access. Further, individual and family wellness creates community wellness. Yet, one’s race, location, and socioeconomic status have direct impacts on one’s health, longevity, and well-being. Through this course, learners will be encouraged to reflect on their own experiences, and begin to envision equitable pathways to well-being for the families they serve by blending theory into practice.
